About

Beyond the Table began with a simple realization: beautiful things are meant to be used.

After years of collecting antique plates, I found myself drawn to pieces that carried history. Plates discovered in small shops. Bowls gathered while traveling. China passed down from my grandmother that I loved deeply but rarely used because so much of it was missing.

A year ago, I moved into an old, historic home with a story of its own. A space that invited gathering, slowing down, and filling rooms with conversation. As I began hosting family and friends more often, I noticed something: no matter how simple or spontaneous the gathering, I wanted it to feel thoughtful and a little elevated.

Not formal.
Not perfect.
Just intentional.

The good linens came out on ordinary days.
Dessert was served on the plates I loved most.
A Tuesday morning breakfast felt just as worthy as a holiday table.

And the pieces that had once felt incomplete began to feel full of possibility.

Instead of letting them sit quietly in cabinets, the idea emerged: what if these fragments of old sets could become something new…objects meant to live in the rhythm of everyday life?

Beyond the Table is a small collection of antique china thoughtfully rescued, curated, and reimagined into tiered stands and heirloom objects designed to be used often. Each piece begins as forgotten china chosen for its story, character, and quiet beauty, then transformed by hand into something both functional and sentimental.

This work is rooted in a belief that everyday moments deserve care.

A friend stopping by for coffee on a Sunday afternoon.
A quiet dessert after dinner.
A gathering that comes together with whatever is already in the house.

If not now…when?

Beyond the Table exists as an invitation to use what you love, to gather more often, and to create small rituals that make ordinary moments feel meaningful.

Because the pieces we keep close are rarely the ones saved for someday — they are the ones that become part of our daily lives.

Elevate the everyday.

Cheers, Katie
